MYTH: Exercise Is Best Way To Lose Weight
Contrary to what many fitness gurus and gym trainers have told you, study after study has actually shown that while exercise may help, the real underlying cause of weight loss is not lack of exercise but… you guessed it, DIET.
Now, I’m not saying you shouldn’t exercise, but it’s been proven that you can’t out exercise a bad diet!
That’s because exercise burns calories, sure. But not nearly enough to supercharge weight loss while your diet remains the same.
After all, a full hour of jogging only burns off around 400 calories. And you can easily cut that amount out just by switching a burger for a salad. Or swapping out a regular lunch with one of the meal-replacement smoothie recipes from the Official Smoothie Diet!
And here’s what’s really cool…
Did you know that for each extra gram of fiber you consume your body burns an extra 7 calories?
That mean if you get 30g of fiber per day, you’ll be burning an extra 210 calories per day.
This alone could result in 20 pounds of weight loss in 1 year without doing anything else!
And smoothies are packed with fiber 🙂
So what would you rather do? – break your back exercising 7 hours a week for a tiny bit of progress… or make a simple meal switch that still leaves you fulfilled and satisfied.
